On 14 June,2018,CACDA held its annual conference in Beijing.Over 100 CACDA members and representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,State Administration of Science,Technology and Industry for National Defense attended conference.Zhang Jun, Assistant Minister of Foreign Ministry addressed the conference.CACDA’s former Presidents Ambassador Li Daoyu and Ambassador Ma Zhengang; CACDA Honorary President Ambassador Sha Zhukang;Ambassador Wang Qun,Director General of Arms Control Department,MFA; Xu Jian,Deputy President of China Institute of International Studies participated the conference.

The Conference elected Ambassador Zhang Yan as new President of CACDA,and appointed Qian Lihua,Ji Zhiye, Hao Yeli, Tian Dongfeng, An Yuejun as Vice Presidents.Yang Yi was appointed as Vice President & Secretary-General.The Conference also elected new senior advisers and Council members.

Assistant Minster Zhang Jun expounded international security,arms control and non-proliferation situation and hoped CACDA continue to play a constructive and important role in international security arena.President Zhang Yan delivered annual report of CACDA,stressed that CACDA will continue its endeavour to contribute to international arms control,disarmament and non-proliferation process.
