On June 17-18, 2019, CACDA and U.S. Naval Postgraduate School co-organized the 11th China-U.S. Strategic Dialogue at Hawaii. From Chinese side, President Zhang Yang and Secretary-General Li Chijiang of CACDA and experts form Academy of Military Science, National Defense University, Shanghai Institute of International Studies, Tsinghua University participated the dialogue. From U.S. side, the former administrator of National Nuclear Security Administration Ambassador Linton Brooks and experts from the Defense Department, State Department, Naval Postgraduate School, Pacific Forum, and MIT joined the dialogue. Participants had an in-depth discussion on China-U.S. relations, nuclear strategy, Missile Defense Review, the opportunities and challenges of post-INF era. 

The dialogue was launched in 2005, aiming to enhance China-U.S. communication and mutual trust in strategic and security area through unofficial channel.
