On November 4-6, 2019, the Nuclear Firewall meeting was successfully co-organized by CACDA, China Institute of Nuclear Information and Economics (CINIE), Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP) and Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in Beijing. CACDA Secretary-General Li Chijiang, CINIE President Pan Qilong, CEIP Vice President George Perkovich and RUSI Director Tom Plant addressed the meeting. Over 30 experts and scholars from China Academy of Engineering Physics, Carnegie Tsinghua Center, China National Nuclear Corporation, China Institute of Contemporary International Studies, Nuclear Threat Initiative, Columbia University, National Academy of Science and VERTIC participated the meeting. Participants discussed the nuclear firewall methods’ application in field of nuclear non-proliferation and with a case study on nuclear issues of the Korean Peninsula.
