On March 3, 2021,CACDA and Saferworld co-organized the 4th online meeting of the Africa-China-Europe Expert Working Group (EWG) on preventing the diversion of arms and ammunition in Africa. Participants included experts from Security Research and Information Centre (SRIC), University of South Sudan, University of Cape Town, Regional Centre on Small Arms in the Great Lakes Region, the Horn of Africa & Bordering States(RECSA), Conflict Armament Research (CAR), China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), Institute of International Relations of Yunnan University and other institutions. CACDA Secretary General Li Chijiang , Deputy Secretary General Li Peng, and other Chinese experts attended the meeting.

Experts introduced initiatives, achievements and challenges in the marking of conventional arms and ammunition, and had in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation between arms supplier and recipient countries.
