Secretary-general Li Chijiang lectured on the BRICS program

On July 26, 2022, Secretary General Li Chijiang of the CACDA was invited to give an online lecture on "BRICS and Global Security Governance" at the Shanghai Summer School (BRICS Program) held by Fudan University. Li briefed the students on the BRICS and global security governance, BRICS cooperation in arms control and China's contribution to global security governance. He also answered questions from the students. 43 students from 32 well-known universities and research institutes in Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, and China participated in the course.

The Shanghai Summer School (BRICS Program) was established by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and the BRICS Research Center of Fudan University is the main organizer. Up to this year, it has been held for nine consecutive sessions. The aim of the program is to build a platform of friendship and consensus for young students from BRICS countries, promote the young generation of BRICS countries to learn the development of China's society, culture, politics and economy, understand the opportunities of BRICS cooperation and global governance changes, and consolidate public support for BRICS cooperation.
