On 16 July, Saferworld held the second online workshop of the Africa-China-Europe Expert Working Group on conventional arms. The meeting focused on two main topics: China’s recent accession to the arms trade treaty (ATT); and the production of a new jointly authored paper to make the case for the inclusion of small arms control in the forthcoming Forum on China-Africa Co-operation (FOCAC).
