On September 20, 2023, Director for Defence and International Security at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the UK Stephen Lillie CMG led a delegation to visit the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association and held talks with experts from the association. Secretary General Li Chijiang attended and chaired the meeting. Officials from the British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the British Embassy in Beijing, scholars from the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy, China Foreign Affairs University and other institutes attended the meeting. Both sides had in-depth exchanges on international arms control and disarmament situation, the P5 Process, nuclear non-proliferation and other related issues.
