From December 16 to 17, 2024, CACDA held the 2024 Nuclear Firewall Meeting together with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy in Beijing.

Ms. Lyu Xin, Deputy Secretary-General of CACDA, Mr. Luo Qingping, President of the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy, and Dr. George Perkovich, Director of Nuclear Policy at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace attended and addressed the meeting. Topics included nuclear energy development, nuclear waste management, non-traditional nuclear technology applications, and proliferation risks. Over 20 experts from the US, the UK, France and China attended the meeting.
