On November 14, 2019, CACDA organized an International Symposium on Non-Proliferation and Export Control in Beijing. Secretary-General Li Chijiang addressed the opening session. Counsellor Shen Jian of the Arms Control Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a keynote speech during the conference, introducing China’s policies and practices in field of non-proliferation and export control. Over 50 representatives from China and abroad participated the symposium, including experts, scholars and officials from Beijing Society of Astronautics, Ministry of Commerce, China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Military-Medical Academy, OPCW, ICRC, Nuclear Threat Initiative, Stimson Center, Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad and Safer World. Participants discussed overall situation of international non-proliferation, MTCR, non-proliferation challenges. The symposium was successfully convened with the support of Beijing Society of Astronautics.
