From November 30 to December 1, 2023, the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy jointly held an international meeting on Nuclear Firewall. Li Chijiang, Secretary General of CACDA, Luo Qingping, Chairman of CINIS, and George Perkovic, Vice President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace attended and addressed the meeting. The meeting held in-depth discussions on topics such as the prospects of small modular reactor technology, challenges of sustainable development for nuclear energy, and situation and challenges in the area of international non-proliferation.

More than 30 experts, scholars and officials from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the Nuclear Threat Initiative, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the United Kingdom, the embassies of the United States and France in Beijing, the Permanent Representative of Romania to the United Nations, the China Academy of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University, Peking University, the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, the China National Nuclear Corporation, the China Institute of Atomic Energy, the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy and other institutes attended the meeting.
