From April 28 to May 2, 2025, Amb. Cheng Jingye, president of CACDA attended the Third session of the Preparatory Committee for the 2026 Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in New York and delivered a speech during the NGO session of the general debate.

Amb. Cheng Jingye called on the international community to work together to uphold the authority and effectiveness of the NPT, promote the three pillars of nuclear disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation and peaceful uses of nuclear energy in a balanced manner, and highlighted key issues such as U.S.-Russia nuclear disarmament, the AUKUS deal, and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
