On 5 June 2025, the China-Europe Workshop on Global Strategic Stability, hosted by the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD), was held in the Hague, the Netherlands. Secretary-General of China Arms Control and Disarmament Association (CACDA), Mr. Dai Huaicheng and scholars from  Peking University, Fudan University, China Foreign Affairs University, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) in Sweden, the Italian Institute for International Disarmament and Conflict Studies (ISODARCO), the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in the UK, and RAND Europe attended the workshop.

The meeting discussed the security situation facing China and Europe , China-Europe common interests and potential areas of cooperation, as well as other pressing international arms control issues. Diplomats from several European countries attended as observers.
