On July 2, 2023, Tsinghua University and the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs jointly organized the 11th World Peace Forum, CACDA Secretary General Li Chijiang was invited to attend the forum and speak at the panel entitled Nuclear Non-Proliferation in the Unstable World. Li Chijiang shared his views on the situation of international nuclear non-proliferation and hot-spot issues, and had in-depth discussion with the participants on AUKUS Nuclear Submarine Cooperation. The panel was chaired by Professor Li Bin from Tsinghua University. Other participants included Hassan Wirajuda, former minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mark Leonard, Director of the European Council on Foreign Relations and Andrey Kortunov, Director-General of the Russian International Affairs Council.

The World Peace Forum, founded in 2012, is the first high-level non-governmental forum on international security organized by Tsinghua University and co-organized by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. This year’s theme of the forum is “Stabilizing an Unstable World through Consensus and Cooperation.”
