From November 12 to 13, 2025, the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association (CACDA) and the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) co-hosted a Track II Dialogue on Biosecurity in Beijing. Mr. Dai Huaicheng, Secretary General of CACDA, and Dr. Jaime Yassif, Vice President of NTI | bio, attended and addressed the dialogue. Experts had in-depth discussions on topics including national biosecurity governance systems and oversight of dual-use biotechnology, the convergence of artificial intelligence and biology (AIxBio), mirror biology, and DNA synthesis screening.

Following the dialogue, the two sides jointly issued the Joint Statement on Shared Priorities for Strengthened Biosecurity and Responsible AI-Biotechnology Innovation.
