From June 29 to 30, 2026, the China Arms Control and Disarmament Association (CACDA) held the 2026 Nuclear Firewall Workshop together with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy (CINIS) in Beijing.

Mr. Dai Huaicheng, Secretary-General of CACDA, Ms. Zhang Chundong, President of CINIS, and Ms. Corey Hinderstein, Vice President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace attended the meeting and delivered opening remarks. The meeting facilitated discussions on topics including the global vision for tripling nuclear power, emerging nuclear energy technologies, international nuclear energy governance and non-proliferation issues. Over 20 experts from the US, France, Australia and China attended the meeting.
